The New York Mets today announced that the club has placed RHP Matt Harvey on the 15-Day Disabled List, retroactive to yesterday, July 5, due to discomfort in his right shoulder. Harvey was seen by Mets doctors and has been referred to Dr. Robert Thompson in St. Louis for further examination. Harvey will be seen in St. Louis tomorrow.
 
To replace Harvey on the 25-man roster, the Mets have recalled RHP Seth Lugo from Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League.
