Marlins fans will have the opportunity to step inside the batter's box and get the ultimate fan experience, by swinging for free 2017 season tickets. The "Swing For Your Seats" event will be held on the field at Marlins Park at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 11, the same night that Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton will participate in the 2016 T-Mobile Home Run Derby at Petco Park in San Diego, California.
 
To participate, fans must place their 2017 Season Ticket deposit by July 11, 2016. Participants will receive three pitches to hit a home run from an automatic pitching machine. In order to win the 2017 Marlins season ticket package for which they placed a deposit for free (maximum prize value of $10,000 per winner), the participant must hit the ball over the outfield fence at Marlins Park.
 
Participants will be allowed to bring a guest to enjoy and capture this unique experience. The 2016 Home Run Derby will be aired on the scoreboards at Marlins Park, giving fans the chance to watch Stanton from the comfort of Ricoh Diamond Club seats. In addition, food and beverages will be provided to all guests.
 
This year's All-Star Week marks one year until this once-in-a-generation event comes to Miami for the first time ever.
