Following today's game vs. Atlanta, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Chris Beck to Class AAA Charlotte.
Beck, 25, has appeared in six games out of the White Sox bullpen this season, going 0-0 with an 8.10 ERA (6 ER/6.2 IP) and five strikeouts. He is 4-3 with a 4.47 ERA (28 ER/56.1 IP) and 40 strikeouts in 15 appearances (seven starts) with Charlotte in 2016.
The White Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to Friday's series opener at the Los Angeles Angels.
