Padres and Marlins Announce Trade

The San Diego Padres today announced they have reacquired right-handed pitcher Colin Rea from the Miami Marlins in exchange for right-handed pitcher Luis Castillo. Both players were a part of a larger seven-player transaction on Friday, July 29 last week. Rea is currently on the 15-day disabled list with a right elbow sprain. Executive Vice President/General Manager A.J. Preller made the announcement.
