DETROIT - The Tigers will host the 11th annual ¡Fiesta Tigres!, sponsored by Miller Lite, to recognize and honor the contributions of Hispanic and Latino players and coaches to the game of baseball on Saturday, August 6 as the Tigers take on the New York Mets at 7:10 pm. Current Tigers players with Hispanic or Latino heritage will be honored as part of the celebration. 
FRIDAY
Friday's festivities will include "Día en el Parque" with Detroit Tigers third baseman, Nick Castellanos. Youth baseball players from the Southwest Aztecs baseball organization will have a special day in the park, beginning at 12:00 p.m. that includes playing catch on the Comerica Park field and an exclusive Q&A session with Castellanos from 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. This is a private event.
SATURDAY
Returning to ¡Fiesta Tigres! in 2016, Detroit Tigers uniformed personnel will wear a special alternate uniform with "Tigres" on the chest, the Spanish translation for Tigers. Replica jerseys will be sold exclusively at The D Shop. Limited quantities available. Detroit Tigers "Tigres" t-shirts are available now for purchase in The D Shop for $30.00 and player name and number specific "Tigres" shirts for $32.00.
In honor of the 10th anniversary of the 2006 American League Champion Detroit Tigers, the first 10,000 fans 21-and-older will receive a Magglio Ordoñez figurine that commemorates his iconic homerun that launched the Tigers into the World Series. Figurine sponsored by Miller Lite.
Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. ¡Fiesta Tigres! pregame festivities will feature live entertainment on the concourse from salsa and merengue bands including Orquesta Sensacional, Tumbao Bravo, Grupo Venezuelano, Mariachi Mexico 2000, Los Primos, DJ Tony Toca, KizMi and other members of the Michigan dance community. Spanish radio stations, La Mega 88.1 and La Explosiva-WSDS 1480AM will be on the concourse. 
Orquesta Sensacional is the longest-standing performance group at ¡Fiesta Tigres! and will be performing pregame at the FOX Sports Detroit Brushfire Grill. This six-piece band features Spanish and English vocalists singing the latest trends of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Cuba. In 2006, Orquesta Sensacional was nominated Detroit Music Award's Outstanding World Music Group.
Prior to the game, there will be a festive on-field ceremony to pay tribute to our current Hispanic and Latino players and coaches. The on-field ceremony will include a Mexican folkloric dance performance by Ballet Folkorico de Detroit, Raices Mexicanas and Moyocoyani Izel, a tribute video and a presentation of the club's Hispanic member's native flags.
Following the game, stay for fireworks, sponsored by radio station La Explosiva and accompanied by a wide variety of Latin music. Don't miss out on this special celebration! No se pierdan esta celebración especial!

SUNDAY
To wrap up ¡Fiesta Tigres! all kids 14-and-under will receive a Miguel Cabrera "Miggy Bank", presented by Comerica Bank.
