Rockies reinstate outfielder Gerardo Parra from 15-day disabled list

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated outfielder Gerardo Parra from the 15-day disabled list and optioned infielder Rafael Ynoa to Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have reinstated outfielder Gerardo Parra from the 15-day disabled list and optioned infielder Rafael Ynoa to Triple-A Albuquerque.
· Parra, 29, was placed on the 15-day disabled list on June 17 (retroactive to June 15) with a sprained left ankle … the Santa Barbara, Venezuela native has batted .263 (64-for-243) with 32 runs, 20 doubles, two triples, five home runs, 27 RBI, four walks and six stolen bases in his 63 games with the Rockies this season … in seven rehab games between Double-A Hartford and Triple-A Albuquerque, batted .192 (5-for-26) with three runs, three RBI and one walk … signed a three-year contract with Colorado on Jan. 20 … in his career with Arizona (2009-2014), Milwaukee (2014-2015), Baltimore (2015) and Colorado (2016), has batted .276 (984-for-3,569) with 461 runs, 202 doubles, 39 triples, 61 home runs, 338 RBI, 236 walks and 75 stolen bases.
· Ynoa, 29, was recalled from Albuquerque on Aug. 2 for his first stint with the Rockies this season … appeared in three games and went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts … in 94 games with Albuquerque this season, is batting .266 (102-for-384) with 49 runs, 24 doubles, three triples, two home runs, 27 RBI, 37 walks and five stolen bases … in his Major League career with Colorado, has batted .281 (56-for-199) with 19 runs, 14 doubles, two triples, 22 RBI, seven walks and one stolen base across parts of three seasons since 2014.
The Rockies currently have a full 40-man roster.
