The Angels will host "Ducks Night" at Angel Stadium on Tuesday, August 16th vs. the Seattle Mariners and will feature pregame and in-game activities involving the ballclub and the NHL's Anaheim Ducks. The night will include appearances by current players and alumni including captain Ryan Getzlaf, Nate Thompson, Clayton Stoner, Andrew Cogliano and many more.
Prior to the game, Ducks players will be present for Angels batting practice with both teams wearing co-branded Ducks and Angels jerseys and hats. They will be joined by alumni for an on-field ceremony, with Ryan Getzlaf throwing out the honorary first pitch. Ducks alumni will be interviewed during the Angels Live broadcast with players joining the Fox Sports West and AM830 broadcasts live throughout the game.
A social media takeover will also occur during the night. Nate Thompson will be in control of the Angels' Snapchat while Ducks players will be using Facebook Live to answer fan questions from their suite. Fox Sports West will also stream batting practice via Facebook Live from the field. Throughout the night, the hashtag #DucksNight can be used by fans to interact with the teams.
In-game entertainment all night at the Big A will be Ducks-themed. Special Ducks animation will be shown on the video boards including blooper reels, recap highlights of both teams collaborating together and a "What's That Song" segment.
The Home Plate area will feature booths setup by both AM830 and the Anaheim Ducks. The Sports Lodge with Roger Lodge will be broadcast just outside the stadium gates and Ducks sales and street team members will have their own tables nearby. A separate Ducks street team will be at the Centerfield Patio.
Fans that purchased the special ticket package which included the co-branded hat can redeem their caps at the Gate 5 courtyard (right field corner) until 8:30 p.m. More information on the ticket package can be found at Angels.com/Ducks.
Fans will also have the opportunity to buy Ducks Night merchandise, including jerseys, hats and shirts at the Angels team store.
