The Minnesota Twins announced today that they are recalling right-handed pitcher Pat Light from Triple-A Rochester in time for today's game against Kansas City.
Light, who was acquired from Boston in exchange for left-handed pitcher Fernando Abad earlier this season, has gone 2-1 with a 2.37 ERA (38.0 IP, 10 ER), 19 walks and 42 strikeouts for the Red Wings. Since being acquired by the Twins at the trade deadline, he has appeared in six games for the Red Wings, posting a 2.57 ERA (7.0 IP, 2 ER) with two walks and six strikeouts.
To make room for Light on the 25-man roster, the Twins optioned left-handed pitcher Adalberto Mejia to Rochester.
