Rays host Blue Jays and Orioles in six-game homestand

Promotional Giveaways Include Logan Forsythe Bobblehead and Superhero Cape Socks

The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field tomorrow to begin a six-game homestand against two AL East opponents, the Toronto Blue Jays (September 2-4) and the Baltimore Orioles (September 5-7).
On Friday, September 2, the Rays and Blue Jays will join Major League Baseball and all MLB teams in dedicating a special "Childhood Cancer Awareness Day." On that day, the Rays will wear special gold Childhood Cancer Awareness Month T-shirts during batting practice. Following the game, Rays players will sign these shirts and they will be auctioned off on raysbaseball.com/auction, with proceeds benefitting the Tampa-based National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, Moffitt Cancer Center and Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. The Rays auction will be live from Tuesday, September 6 at 8:30 a.m. through Friday, September 16 at 8:00 p.m. The shirts were provided by Majestic Apparel, the official uniform provider of Major League Baseball.
The weekend series continues on Saturday, September 3 with a 6:10 p.m. contest. Upon entry to that game, all fans will receive a Logan Forsythe Bobblehead presented by GTE Financial. The weekend series concludes with a 1:10 p.m. matinee on Sunday, September 4, and all kids 14 and under will receive Superhero Cape Socks presented by Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. All promotional items are available while supplies last.
When gates open prior to the Rays-Blue Jays game on Sunday, September 4, the Rays Wives will host their Fourth Annual Pet Food Drive to benefit the Pet Pal Animal Shelter in St. Petersburg. Fans are encouraged to bring sealed Science Diet® cat and dog food outside Gates 1 and 6. Additional items collected include toys, crates, beds, treats, flea medicine and heart medicine. The Wives will also host a Silent Charity Auction at Gate 1, the Republic Bank Draft Room and online atraysbaseball.com/auction, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting Pet Pal. Items available to bid on include a Mike Trout package with an autographed bat, cleats and batting gloves, a Clayton Kershaw autographed baseball, a Miguel Cabrera autographed bat, several Evan Longoria game-used equipment items and other gear from Major League players. The Charity Auction is currently live online and will end on Sunday, September 4 at 3:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 4 is also Superhero Day at Tropicana Field. There will be over 30 superhero characters from the M.U.C.H. Foundation greeting fans at the gates and taking photos with fans throughout the day. For more information about the M.U.C.H. Every Sunday home game features free parking for cars with four or more passengers and a variety of postgame activities for kids, including Kids Run the Bases and a DJ Kitty Dance Party featuring mascots and entertainers. This Sunday's postgame entertainment will also feature a superhero twist. For the third consecutive season, concourse activities will be complimentary for kids 14 and under. Activities include the Grand Slam Alley, Power Alley Batting Cage, Speed Pitch, Raymond's Art Studio and Topps Make Your Own Baseball Card. Extra entertainers will also perform on Sundays, including face painters, airbrush tattoo artists, magicians, stilt walkers, jugglers and balloon artists.
The Rays host the Orioles for a three-game series beginning Monday, September 5 at 1:10 p.m., when they will attempt their fifth straight Labor Day victory at Tropicana Field. The series continues on Tuesday, September 6 at 7:10 p.m. and concludes on Wednesday, September 7 at 1:10 p.m.

OLYMPIAN TRAYVON BROMELL TO THROW FIRST PITCH-Olympian track and field athlete and St. Petersburg native Trayvon Bromell will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game on Sunday, September 4 at 1:10 p.m.
COMING UP AT THE REPUBLIC BANK DRAFT ROOM-On Friday, September 2, from 6:30-7:00 p.m., former Rays reliever Dan Wheeler will participate in a meet-and-greet in the Republic Bank Draft Room, the new, exclusive area for season ticket holders which blends hospitality and comfort with behind-the-scenes access to Rays staff, players and coaches. On Sunday, September 4, from 12:15-12:45 p.m., Olympian Trayvon Bromell will visit the club to meet fans.
MILITARY BONUS DATES-The Rays have extended their Military Monday promotion, presented by the Tampa Bay Times, to include the game on Friday, September 2 at 7:10 p.m. vs. the Toronto Blue Jays. Members of the military community can reserve up to two complimentary tickets for this game, subject to availability. In addition, as a special offer, members of the military community can purchase up to four special $15 tickets for the following game on Saturday, September 3 at 6:10 p.m. Both these special ticket offers, in addition to the Military Monday promotion, are only available online atraysbaseball.com/military.
