Dodgers Kiké Hernández, Ross Stripling and J.P. Howell Join LADF

The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) and Dodger partner Hi-Chew will play host to a visit tomorrow with Dodgers Kiké Hernández and Ross Stripling from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Aquarium of the Pacific for 150 sixth-grade students from James Jordan Middle School located in Winnetka. Dodger J.P. Howell will also join LADF and Playworks in a "Coach for a Day" event at Eastman Avenue Elementary School, 4112 E Olympic Blvd. in Los Angeles, from 12:10 to 1:00 p.m.

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) and Dodger partner Hi-Chew will play host to a visit tomorrow with Dodgers Kiké Hernández and Ross Stripling from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Aquarium of the Pacific for 150 sixth-grade students from James Jordan Middle School located in Winnetka. Dodger J.P. Howell will also join LADF and Playworks in a "Coach for a Day" event at Eastman Avenue Elementary School, 4112 E Olympic Blvd. in Los Angeles, from 12:10 to 1:00 p.m.
James Jordan Middle School sixth-grade students will visit the Aquarium of the Pacific as part of LADF's $25,000 grant which provided scholarships for 2,000 underserved students to visit the aquarium. Students will join Hernández and Stripling for a brief tour of the aquarium and participate in classroom activities. Students will also receive Hi-Chew gift bags, Dodger hats and a pair of tickets to a Dodger game.
Dodger J.P. Howell will serve as Playworks "Coach for a Day" at Eastman Elementary School. Howell will lead third, fourth and fifth-grade Playworks students through their recess games, including four square, wall ball, kickball, basketball and a tag game. This marks LADF's second year of partnership with Playworks Southern California Junior Coach Leadership Program and the second year LADF has provided a $25,000 grant to Playworks Southern California. Playworks is the leading national nonprofit leveraging the power of play to transform children's physical and emotional health. Playworks Southern California currently serves 69 elementary schools and 80,000 students through professional training services.
