Orioles make three roster moves

The Orioles today announced that they have selected the contract of INF PAUL JANISH from Triple-A Norfolk and recalled RHP MIKE WRIGHT from Triple-A Norfolk.

The Orioles today announced that they have selected the contract of INF PAUL JANISH from Triple-A Norfolk and recalled RHP MIKE WRIGHT from Triple-A Norfolk. In a corresponding move, the Orioles have recalled LHP CHRIS LEE from Double-A Bowie and placed him on the 60-day disabled list with a left shoulder strain.
Janish, 33, batted .248/.333/.280 (61-for-246) with eight doubles, 26 runs scored, and 18 RBI in 76 games with the Tides this season. He posted a .993 fielding percentage in 76 games at shortstop for Norfolk in 2016, committing just two errors in 297 total chances. In 14 games with the Orioles this season, he is batting .194/.286/.226 (6-for-31) with a double and three runs scored. Over 459 career Major League games, Janish has batted .216/.284/.289 with 59 doubles, two triples, seven home runs, 123 runs scored, and 84 RBI. He has posted a .984 fielding percentage in 363 career Major League games at shortstop. 
Wright, 26, went 4-4 with a 3.07 ERA (26 ER/76.1 IP) and 48 strikeouts over 13 starts with the Tides in 2016. He has pitched in 16 games (12 starts) with the Orioles this season, going 3-4 with a 5.89 ERA (48 ER/73.1 IP). The 2013 Orioles Jim Palmer Minor League Pitcher of the Year went 42-26 with a 3.71 ERA (249 ER/604.1 IP) and 474 strikeouts over 113 career minor league games (108 starts). In 28 career Major League games (21 starts), Wright has gone 6-9 with a 5.95 ERA (78 ER/118.0 IP).
Lee, 24, pitched to a 2.98 ERA (17 ER/51.1 IP) over eight games (seven starts) with Bowie this season.
