Marlins to honor Ichiro Suzuki on Sept. 25 for 3,000-hit milestone

The Marlins today announced the festivities that will take place on September 25 as the Club will honor Ichiro Suzuki for becoming just the 30th player in Major League Baseball history to reach the 3,000-hit milestone.

The Marlins today announced the festivities that will take place on September 25 as the Club will honor Ichiro Suzuki for becoming just the 30th player in Major League Baseball history to reach the 3,000-hit milestone. Ichiro recorded his 3,000th hit in MLB on August 7 at Colorado.
The day will begin with a pregame ceremony led by Dave Van Horne, Hall-of-Fame broadcaster and lead play-by-play radio announcer on the Marlins Radio Network. There will also be a pregame video package tribute and messages from of Ichiro's former teammates and coaches. All fans in attendance will receive a commemorative poster.
In addition, a special ticket offer was created for this game to honor Ichiro's milestone. All fans who purchase the Ichiro Commemorative Bat Ticket Offer will receive a game ticket to be a part of the celebration and a limited edition full-sized replica bat to commemorate the occasion.
