Mariners name Trevor Gooby Vice President Ballpark Operations for Safeco Field

The Seattle Mariners today announced Trevor Gooby, an experienced baseball facilities and operations manager, has been named Vice President of Ballpark Operations.

The Seattle Mariners today announced Trevor Gooby, an experienced baseball facilities and operations manager, has been named Vice President of Ballpark Operations.
Gooby was previously the Pittsburgh Pirates Senior Director of Operations in Florida and the Dominican Republic.
Gooby began his Major League Baseball career with the Los Angeles Dodgers where he served seven years as the General Manager of the Vero Beach Dodgers and oversaw baseball operations at Dodgertown. He was hired by the Pirates in 2004 to oversee the team's Spring Training operations in Bradenton, Florida. Gooby was responsible for ballpark operations, concessions, custodial services, marketing and ticket sales at McKechnie Field, the Grapefruit League home of the Pirates. He also oversaw the day-to-day operations of the Pirates Class A affiliate Bradenton Marauders.
Gooby represented the Pirates during the multi-million dollar renovations of McKechnie Field and Pirate City, the team's Spring Training and Gulf Coast League home. Gooby also oversaw all operations at the Pirates Latin American headquarters and baseball training complex in the Dominican Republic including land acquisition and construction of a new complex near the municipality of El Toro. He also supervised day-to-day operations at the facility.
For the Mariners, Gooby will oversee all ballpark operations at Safeco Field including maintenance, engineering, sustainability, game day operations, grounds keeping, events, housekeeping and security.
A native of Ipswich, Massachusetts, Gooby is a 1998 graduate of Emerson College where he received his B.S. in Communication and Media Studies.
