Major League Baseball today announced details for the ceremonial activities of Game Seven of the 2016 World Series, which will be hosted by the American League Champion Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field.

Major League Baseball today announced details for the ceremonial activities of Game Seven of the 2016 World Series, which will be hosted by the American League Champion Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field. The 112th Fall Classic between the Indians and the National League Champion Chicago Cubs concludes tonight, Wednesday, November 2nd, with live coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET on FOX.
JIM THOME TO THROW CEREMONIAL FIRST PITCH: Five-time MLB All-Star and 22-year MLB veteran Jim Thome will throw the ceremonial first pitch of the decisive Game Seven. Thome, who played 13 seasons with Cleveland and retired as the Club's all-time leader in home runs (337), was a member of both the 1995 and 1997 American League Champion Indians teams.
U.S. NATIONAL ANTHEM & GOD BLESS AMERICA PERFORMANCES: The Progressive Field crowd will have the opportunity to sing along tonight as members of the String Section of the Cleveland Orchestra will conduct an instrumental performance of the U.S. National Anthem prior to Game Seven.
"God Bless America" will be performed during pregame ceremonies by United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Emily Meyer. Meyer, who is from Lancaster, OH, is a military police officer stationed at the U.S. Marine Corps Recruiting Station in Cleveland. She has served as a Military Mentor for the 2016 Senate State Youth Program.
GAME BALL DELIVERY: Davontre Cohen, 17, from the Boys & Girls Clubs of The Western Reserve in Akron, OH, will deliver the official game ball of Game Seven to the mound with former Indians slugger Travis Hafner. Cohen, who is a senior at Akron Early College High School, is Akron's Youth of the Year for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Western Reserve.
