FLUSHING, N.Y., November 3, 2016 - The New York Mets today announced that the club has exercised the 2017 club options for outfielder Jay Bruce and infielder Jose Reyes. The club did not exercise the 2017 club option for lefthanded pitcher Jonathon Niese.
Additionally, righthanded pitcher Jim Henderson was outrighted off the 40-man roster and elected free agency. Infielder Eric Campbell was outrighted to Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League.
