Red Sox Spring Training begins February 14

Truck Departs Fenway Park February 6; Exhibition Season Begins February 23; Red Sox Destinations Packages Available Now

The Boston Red Sox today announced that the 2017 Spring Training season begins February 14 at JetBlue Park at Fenway South in Lee County, FL. Starting February 23, the team will play a total of 19 home games, including 17 Grapefruit League games, a nine-inning matchup against the Northeastern University Huskies, and a World Baseball Classic exhibition game against Team USA on March 9. Red Sox Spring Training is presented by CVS Health.
Tickets for all home games at JetBlue Park go on sale Saturday, December 3. There will be a $1 price increase in Box Seat, Grandstand, and Green Monster seating categories for the 2017 season. All other seating categories will remain unchanged. Tickets for the Red Sox-Huskies game on February 23 will be half price.
Fans can purchase Spring Training tickets starting at 10 a.m. at JetBlue Park and on redsox.com. Fans needing ADA accessible seating or those who may not have a computer may call 877-REDSOX9. Hearing impaired fans may call the Red Sox TTY line at (617) 226-6644. Mastercard is the preferred payment of the Boston Red Sox.
Red Sox Destinations packages, which offer VIP experiences for fans during Spring Training, are available now at redsox.com/springdestinations.
Pitchers and catchers hold their first workout February 14. The first full squad workout will take place February 17. Workouts are free and open to the public.
The Red Sox play their first exhibition game on Thursday, February 23, at 1:05 p.m. against the Northeastern University Huskies.
The Grapefruit League schedule launches at home at JetBlue Park on Friday, February 24, against the New York Mets. The matchup is one of two contests against the Mets with the Red Sox traveling to Tradition Field in Port St. Lucie on March 8 for a 1:10 p.m. game.
The Red Sox will host their American League East rival New York Yankees on Tuesday, February 28, at JetBlue Park, and will then visit them Tuesday, March 21, at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Other division matchups include four games versus the Baltimore Orioles, five against the Tampa Bay Rays, and three against the Toronto Blue Jays.
The club will once again hold an Open House at JetBlue Park on Saturday, February 18. The free event, open to the public, welcomes fans to walk around the park and the grounds while enjoying concessions and entertainment on Fenway South Drive.
The Red Sox' equipment truck will depart from Fenway Park on Monday, February 6. Truck Day is presented by JetBlue.
