Twins announce plans for TwinsFest at Target Field presented by U.S. Bank

The Minnesota Twins and the Twins Community Fund today announced details for TwinsFest at Target Field, a longstanding Minnesota baseball tradition.

The Minnesota Twins and the Twins Community Fund today announced details for TwinsFest at Target Field, a longstanding Minnesota baseball tradition. TwinsFest at Target Field will run from Friday, January 27 through Sunday, January 29, 2017, providing Twins fans with exclusive and intimate baseball experiences throughout the course of the weekend.
As the largest annual fundraiser for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund, TwinsFest will feature numerous new interactive activities and behind-the-scenes fan experiences that celebrate Twins baseball and Target Field. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, December 8 at 10 a.m. and will cost $20 for adults and $10 for kids 14 and younger. Ticket purchases can be made online at www.twinsbaseball.com or by phone at (612) 33-TWINS, as well as at the Target Field Box Office and Twins Pro Shops.
While continuing the popular player autographs, photo opportunities, sports memorabilia and collector's show, TwinsFest at Target Field will return many feature elements including increased player involvement, special panel discussions, self-guided clubhouse tours and the chance to take batting practice in the Twins batting cages. The Twins Boardwalk area will allow fans to interact with their favorite current and former Twins players in a variety of competitive activities. Additional interactive activities include BINGO, human foosball, reading with Twins mascot T.C., Fan Feud, velocity testing in the speed pitch cage, and a special Kid's Day Sunday with more activities and opportunities geared towards children.
New to this year's event, the Metropolitan Club will host TwinsFest's first-ever beer garden. The TwinsFest Taproom presented by Goose Island will be an engaging and energetic space for families and friends to connect. This new attraction will feature a selection of craft beers, root beer floats, yard games, pub games, a radio stage hosted by Go Media, classic arcade games and many other interactive activities for families. In addition, join T.C. for brunch on Sunday in a special "Brunch with Bear" event. Tickets include a breakfast buffet, souvenir photo with T.C., and are inclusive of a Sunday TwinsFest ticket. Tickets will cost $34.95 for adults and $19.95 for kids 14 and younger, children 12 months and younger are free.
TwinsFest attendees will also have the option to purchase a white glove tour of the Twins Archive Room and have the opportunity to enjoy signature food and beverage options which have made Target Field baseball's best dining experience. TwinsFest will once again feature the Twins Yard Sale, giving fans the opportunity to purchase unique team-issued gear, autographed memorabilia, Twins branded artwork and past promotional items.
"We're excited to again host TwinsFest at Target Field, the capital of Twins Territory," said Twins President Dave St. Peter. "As always, TwinsFest will serve as the unofficial start to a new baseball season while also helping raise significant proceeds for the Twins Community Fund and its many worthwhile programs across Twins Territory."
As in years past, more than 60 current, former and future Twins players are expected to appear throughout the course of the weekend.
TwinsFest, one of the largest team-run fan festivals in professional sports, is the largest annual fundraiser for the Minnesota Twins Community Fund. Over the past 26 years TwinsFest has raised more than $4.6 million for programs and organizations supported by the Twins Community Fund.
