December 2, 2016 - MLB Network will provide more than 35 hours of live coverage over five days at the 2016 MLB Winter Meetings in National Harbor, Maryland next week, with insiders Peter Gammons (@pgammo), Jon Heyman (@JonHeyman), Jon Morosi (@JonMorosi), Ken Rosenthal (@Ken_Rosenthal) Joel Sherman (@Joelsherman1) and Tom Verducci reporting live across all programming. Interviews with club managers and general managers will be featured throughout MLB Network's five on-site shows, starting with MLB Tonight this Sunday, December 4 at 6:00 p.m. ET. MLB Network will also exclusively feature the  National Baseball Hall of Fame Today's Game Era election results announcement during MLB Tonight on Sunday. Beginning Monday, December 5, MLB Network's live coverage from the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center will begin every day with Hot Stove at 9:00 a.m. ET followed by High Heat with Christopher Russo, MLB Now, Intentional Talk and MLB Tonight. 
MLB Network Presents, the original series of documentaries and access-driven profiles hosted by Bob Costas, returns with two new episodes this month. Narrated by actor and Cubs fan John Cusack, the first program relives the Chicago Cubs' historic 2016 World Series Championship through the eyes of multi-generational Cubs fans in Joy in Wrigleyville, premiering Thursday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET.
The program features interviews with fans detailing the emotional impact of the Cubs' championship on the city of Chicago, from Smashing Pumpkins lead singer and Illinois native Billy Corgan and Dutchie Caray, the wife of late Cubs announcer Harry Caray, to Mary Beth Talhami, whose 94-year old mother, a lifelong Cubs fan, passed away during the World Series; North Carolina resident Wayne Williams, who drove to Indiana to listen to Game Seven on his phone at his late father's grave; and nuns from Chicago's Felician Sisters Convent, who give a different take on the meanings of faith and curses.
Sights and sounds from the streets of Chicago during the Cubs' World Series title run are featured throughout the hour-long program, including exclusive footage and interviews at the Wrigleyville Fire Department andHarry Caray's River North restaurant.
The second MLB Network Presents program to debut this month is Cuba: Island of Baseball, premiering Tuesday, December 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Coinciding with the two-year anniversary of President Barack Obama moving to normalize relations between the U.S. and Cuba in December 2014, Cuba: Island of Baseball is an in-depth look at the decades of personal stories of many Cuban baseball players and their defection from their country in pursuit of a Major League career, from Tony Oliva, Luis Tiant, Barbaro Garbey and Rene Arocha in the 1960's, 1980's and 1990's to Aroldis Chapman, Yasiel Puig and Yulieski Gurriel today. 
Narrated by Cuban-American Emmy Award-winning actor Bobby Cannavale, Cuba: Island of Baseball features interviews with Chapman, Garbey, Gurriel, Oliva, Puig and Tiant as well as current Major Leaguers Jose Abreu, Yoan Moncada and Yasmany Tomas, Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred, Cuban Baseball Federation Vice President Antonio Castro and Cuban baseball historians Peter Bjarkman and Adrian Burgos Jr. Additional preview information on Cuba: Island of Baseball will be released to media before its premiere.
