The New York Mets today announced the club has signed lefthanded pitcher Adam Wilk to a minor league contract and invited him to Major League Spring Training camp.
 
Wilk, 29, has appeared in nine games (three starts) with the Tigers and Angels over parts of three major league seasons (2011-2012, 2015). He is 0-3 with a 6.49 ERA (19 earned runs/26.1 innings) with 19 strikeouts.
 
The 6-2, 195-poudner was 2-8 with a 3.61 ERA (35 earned runs/87.1 innings) in 15 starts for Durham (AAA) of the International League last year. His last appearance came on June 24 after undergoing right hip labrum repair surgery.
 
Wilk was originally draft by the Tigers in the 11th round of the 2009 First Year Player Draft out of Long Beach State. He has posted a 3.59 ERA (348 earned runs/872.1 innings) during his minor league career (153 games, 147 starts).
