Pirates Minor Leaguer suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League right-handed pitcher Junior Lopez has received a 25-game suspension without pay following a violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Pittsburgh Pirates Minor League right-handed pitcher Junior Lopez has received a 25-game suspension without pay following a violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
The suspension of Lopez, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Bradenton Marauders of the Florida State League, is effective immediately.
