D-backs recall RHP Braden Shipley from Triple-A Reno

The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled RHP Braden Shipley from Triple-A Reno. To make room for Shipley, the D-backs optioned RHP Silvino Bracho to Reno following yesterday's game.

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled RHP Braden Shipley from Triple-A Reno. To make room for Shipley, the D-backs optioned RHP Silvino Bracho to Reno following yesterday's game.
Shipley, 25, is 5-1 with a 3.93 ERA (24 ER in 55.0 IP) in 9 starts with the Aces this season. The Medford, Ore., native has made 1 start with the D-backs this season, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits in 4.0 innings on May 4 @ Nationals. He was named Reno's Pitcher-of-the-Month for May, going 2-1 with a 4.06 ERA (14 ER in 31.0 IP) with a .216 opponents average.
Shipley made his Major League debut with the D-backs in 2016, going 4-5 with a 5.27 ERA (41 ER in 70.0 IP) in 13 games (11 starts). He was selected by Arizona in the first round (15th overall) of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft.
Shipley will start this afternoon's game vs. Marlins.
