June 9th, 2017

Cleveland Indians pitcher Carlos Carrasco will hold his second annual book drive in partnership with United Way's "Stuff the Bus" campaign at Progressive Field on Wednesday.
Before Wednesday's game vs. the Dodgers, United Way staff will be available at all Progressive Field gates to collect new and gently used children's books at K-8th grade reading levels. Additionally, RTA will have a bus parked on Gateway Plaza during the book drive.
All books will be sorted and donated to local schools and libraries in the Cleveland area. Carrasco is active in the Cleveland community and is passionate about providing children with the tools and resources needed to succeed in life. United Way hopes to collect more than 20,000 books in order to help children start and grow their own libraries.
