Mets move Harvey, Lagares to DL

The Mets placed RHP Matt Harvey and OF Juan Lagares on the 10-day disabled list and recalled INF Matt Reynolds and OF Brandon Nimmo from Triple-AAA.

The New York Mets today announced that they have placed righthanded pitcher Matt Harvey on the 10-Day Disabled List, retroactive to June 15, with a stress injury to the scapula bone in his right shoulder. Additionally, the Mets have also placed outfielder Juan Lagares on the 10-Day Disabled List with a fracture of the IP joint in his left thumb. The Mets have recalled infielder Matt Reynolds and outfielder Brandon Nimmo from Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League. Reynolds (#15) and Nimmo (#9) are both active for tonight's game.
 
Reynolds was with the Mets earlier this season from April 26-June 10 and batted .174 (4-23) with one home run and one RBI in 20 games. In 15 games this season for Las Vegas, Reynolds batted .286 (16-56) with three doubles, one home run and five RBI.
 
Nimmo began the season on the 10-Day Disabled List with a right hamstring injury before being optioned to Las Vegas on May 16. In 38 games for the 51s this year, Nimmo was batting .223 (33-148) with 12 doubles, one triple, three home runs and 16 RBI.
 
In 32 games for the Mets in 2016, Nimmo batted .274 (20-73) with one double, one home run, six RBI and 12 runs scored.
