Three Astros Hold as Starters in Today's All-Star Voting Results

Major League Baseball released its fourth update of the American League All-Star voting results today, which revealed the same standings as last week's update, with Jose Altuve leading all second baseman, Carlos Correa leading all shortstops, and George Springer ranking third among outfielders.

HOUSTON, TX - Major League Baseball released its fourth update of the American League All-Star voting results today, which revealed the same standings as last week's update, with Jose Altuve leading all second baseman, Carlos Correa leading all shortstops, and George Springer ranking third among outfielders.
All three players added close to 200,000 votes to their leads this week, with Correa (+236,051) leading the way in gains followed by Altuve (+190,930) and Springer (+147,358). Altuve now leads his position by 734,563 votes over Starlin Castro, while Correa leads Francisco Lindor by 358,242 votes. Springer ranks third among AL outfielders, leading fourth-place Michael Brantley by 175,697 votes.
If these results hold, it would mark the first time in franchise history for the Astros to have three All-Star starters elected via the fan vote.
Additionally, C Brian McCann held at second place among catchers, and trails only Salvador Perez in the AL.
The next update by Major League Baseball will be released next Monday, June 26.
