Dodgers recall Ross Stripling

The Los Angeles Dodgers today recalled right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed right-handed pitcher Chris Hatcher on the 10-day disabled list with thoracic inflammation.

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Dodgers today recalled right-handed pitcher Ross Stripling from Triple-A Oklahoma City and placed right-handed pitcher Chris Hatcher on the 10-day disabled list with thoracic inflammation.
Stripling, 27, returns to the big league club for his second stint, as he has gone 0-3 with one save and has posted a 4.00 ERA (16 ER/36.0 IP) in 21 relief appearances with Los Angeles this season. He last pitched on Monday for the OKC Dodgers, striking out two batters in a perfect inning of relief against Triple-A Colorado Springs (Brewers). Even with his short period in the minors, Stripling is currently tied for 12th in strikeouts (39) and ranks 13th in innings pitched (36.0 IP) among National League relievers. 
Hatcher, 32, last pitched yesterday against the Mets, allowing one run on one hit in 1.1 innings of relief. In 26 relief appearances this season, he has gone 0-1 with a 4.66 ERA (19 ER/36.2 IP) and has struck out 43 batters against 12 walks. He currently ranks fifth among NL relievers in strikeouts, while tying for 10th in innings pitched with 36.2 innings.
