The Chicago White Sox today reinstated right-handed pitcher David Robertson from the paternity list and designated right-hander Michael Ynoa for assignment.
Robertson, 32, was placed on the paternity list on Monday. He and his wife, Erin, welcomed their second child, daughter Violet Grace, on Monday evening. Robertson is 4-2 with a 3.00 ERA (10 ER/30.0 IP), 44 strikeouts and 12 saves in 13 chances over 27 appearances this season, his third with the White Sox. He ranks second among American League relievers in save percentage (92.3) and 11th in strikeouts per 9.0 IP (13.20).
Ynoa, 25, is 1-0 with a 5.90 ERA (19 ER/29.0 IP) and 23 strikeouts over 22 relief appearances this season, his second with the White Sox.
