A's recall RHP Gossett from Nashville; Option RHP Brady to Nashville

The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Daniel Gossett from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed Michael Brady to Nashville, the club announced today.

The Oakland A's recalled right-handed pitcher Daniel Gossett from Triple-A Nashville and optioned right-handed Michael Brady to Nashville, the club announced today.
Gossett joins the A's for the second time this year after going 3-6 with a 5.17 ERA and .281 opponents batting average in 10 starts with Oakland from June 14 to Aug. 2 in his Major League debut. He went 2-2 with a 3.80 ERA in four starts after the All-Star Break after going 1-4 with a 6.23 ERA in six starts before the break. The 24-year-old right-hander went 1-1 with a 4.60 ERA in three starts with the Sounds following his Aug. 3 option and is 4-4 with a 3.66 ERA and .239 opponents batting average in 14 starts overall at Nashville. Gossett is scheduled to start today at Baltimore.
Brady is 0-0 with a 4.56 ERA in 10 relief appearances over two stints with Oakland. He was recalled most recently on Aug. 11 and logged a 5.68 ERA in two appearances on Aug. 12 and 21, both against Baltimore. Brady is 3-1 with a 3.21 ERA in 17 games, including eight starts, with Nashville.
