White Sox announce three roster moves

The Chicago White Sox reinstated RHP Reynaldo López, recalled RHP Carson Fulmer and purchased the contract of LHP David Holmberg from Charlotte.

Prior to tonight's series opener vs. Tampa Bay, the Chicago White Sox reinstated right-handed pitcher Reynaldo López from the 10-day disabled list, recalled right-hander Carson Fulmer from Class AAA Charlotte and purchased the contract of left-handed pitcher David Holmberg from Charlotte.
López, 23, is scheduled to start tonight's game vs. the Rays. He has been on the disabled list since August 19 (retroactive to August 18) with a strained back. López is 0-1 with a 6.97 ERA (8 ER/10.1 IP) and 12 strikeouts in two starts with the White Sox this season after being recalled from the Knights on August 11.
Fulmer, 23, served as the 26th man on the active roster for the doubleheader on August 21 vs. Minnesota. He made his first major-league start in the second game, allowing six runs on four hits and three walks over 1.1 IP of a losing effort before being returned to the Knights. Fulmer has gone 7-9 with a 5.79 ERA (81 ER/126.0 IP) and 96 strikeouts over 25 starts with Charlotte this season.
Holmberg, 26, was 2-3 with a 3.55 ERA (20 ER/50.2 IP) and 28 strikeouts in 33 games (six starts) with Chicago this season before being outrighted to Charlotte on August 11. He appeared in 10 games (four starts) with the Knights, going 3-1 with a 2.78 ERA (10 ER/32. IP), 24 strikeouts and a .222 opponents average (26-117).
Following the moves, the White Sox 40-man roster increases to 37.
