The Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame & Museum's 2017 bobblehead series, presented by Dinsmore & Shohl LLP, concludes in September with Reds Hall of Famer George Foster.
A key component of the Big Red Machine, Alabama native George Foster became the starting left fielder for the Reds in May of 1975 after Pete Rose shifted to third base. Foster went on to hit .300 that season with 23 home runs in 463 at bats, helping the Reds win the first of two consecutive World Series titles. In 1977, he hit 52 home runs, a feat unmatched by any Red before or since, en route to being crowned the National League's Most Valuable Player. Foster was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in 2003.
The bobbleheads are free with regular price admission to the Reds Hall of Fame (or a Scotts Great American Ball Park tour) and will be available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays throughout the month of September, while supplies last.
Only 6,000 bobbleheads were produced and there is a limit of one bobblehead per visitor per day.
The bobblehead series ran April through September with a different Reds Hall of Famer available each month:
• April: Leo Cardenas
• May: Tommy Helms
• June: Pete Rose
• July: Ron Oester
• August: Dave Parker
• September: George Foster
Admission to the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum is $10 for adults, $8 for students/seniors and $6 for active military and veterans.
