Atlanta Braves Announce Tentative 2018 Schedule

Today the Atlanta Braves and Major League Baseball released their tentative schedules for the 2018 season, Atlanta's second at SunTrust Park. A finalized schedule with start times will be released at a later date in the offseason.

Today the Atlanta Braves and Major League Baseball released their tentative schedules for the 2018 season, Atlanta's second at SunTrust Park. A finalized schedule with start times will be released at a later date in the offseason.
The Braves are set to begin their 2018 campaign on Thursday, March 29 at SunTrust Park against the Philadelphia Phillies, part of a six-game, seven-day homestand to open the season. Atlanta will continue its opening series with the Phillies on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31, before playing host to the Washington Nationals for a three-game set, April 2-4. The Braves have a scheduled off day on Sunday, April 1, which coincides with Easter.
Atlanta will welcome Philadelphia for a second time, April 16-18, before a four-game set with the New York Mets (April 19-22) concludes the home slate for the month.
The Braves are set to host 10 games each against National League East Division foes Philadelphia and Washington, and nine games against Miami and New York. The home portion of the schedule includes a total of 38 games against National League East opponents, 15 games against the National League Central Division, 18 against the National League West Division and 10 contests against American League teams.
Atlanta will play teams from the American League East Division in a total of eight interleague series (20 total interleague games), with four series (10 games) taking place at SunTrust Park. The Braves' home interleague portion of the 2018 campaign opens with a three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles, June 22-24, and also includes series against the Toronto Blue Jays (July 10-11), Tampa Bay Rays (August 28-29) and Boston Red Sox (September 3-5). Atlanta will play four road interleague series, including three-game sets at both Fenway Park and Yankee Stadium. The Braves will travel to play the Red Sox from May 25-27, before visiting the New York Yankees from July 2-4. Atlanta's other American League road opponents include two-game series against the Rays (May 8-9) and Blue Jays (June 19-20).
The overall home slate features 46 games at SunTrust Park prior to the All-Star break and 35 home games following the break. The Braves will play 49 games on the road prior to the Mid-Summer Classic, compared to 32 road games in the "second half" of the season.
The Braves will close out the regular-season portion of their home slate with a 10-day homestand against the Nationals (September 14-16), St. Louis Cardinals (September 17-19) and Phillies (September 20-23), before a six-game road trip concludes the regular season. Atlanta will visit the Mets from September 25-27, prior to a three-game series at Philadelphia (September 28-30) to end the season.
In conjunction with the 2018 schedule release, Braves season tickets will be available for purchase beginning this Friday, September 15, with 2017 prices until Friday, November 3. Anyone who purchases 2018 season tickets before October 15 will be invited to the team's A List Member Play Day on Sunday, October 22.
