A's to host fan appreciation weekend during final homestand

The Oakland A's will return home Friday, Sept. 22, for a six-game homestand against the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners.

The Oakland A's will return home Friday, Sept. 22, for a six-game homestand against the Texas Rangers and Seattle Mariners.
 
To thank the best fans in baseball, the A's will host Fan Appreciation Weekend from Sept. 22 to 24. The weekend will include opportunities for kids and adults to win great prizes. Fans will be randomly selected to receive seat upgrades, can unlock prizes by checking in to the MLB.com Ballpark App, and can win memorabilia by tweeting the A's (@athletics). As part of the weekend, lucky fans will also have the chance to win a player's jersey following the game on Sept. 23 during the Oakland A's Community Fund "Jersey Off Their Backs" fundraiser.

JERSEY OFF THEIR BACKS FUNDRAISER: Fans can visit Section 216 or look for roaming "Jersey Off Their Backs" sellers to donate $5 to receive a scratch-off ticket for a chance to win A's coupons, autographed memorabilia, and the opportunity to receive a jersey off an A's player's back following the game on Saturday, Sept. 23. All proceeds support the Oakland A's Community Fund.
 
SEASON TICKET MEMBER "STATE OF THE A's" CHAT: A's President Dave Kaval will host a special pregame Q&A session with select Season Ticket Members.
 
FAN APPRECIATION WEEKEND: During every inning break, fans will be randomly selected to win great prizes.
 
BART CARD GIVEAWAY: 10,000 fans will receive a free weekend roundtrip ticket, courtesy of BART.

STAR WARS™ NIGHT: Fans who pre-purchase a STAR WARS Night special ticket for the game will receive an exclusive A's STAR WARS T-shirt. Fans are encouraged to dress as their favorite STAR WARS characters. All fans are invited to enjoy postgame fireworks set to the music of STAR WARS on the outfield grass, space permitting.
 
A's COMMUNITY FUND SILENT AUCTION: Every Saturday and Sunday home game (and other select games), the A's Community Fund hosts a silent auction featuring signed and unsigned A's memorabilia as well as game-used items. The silent auctions are located in the A's fan center behind section 120 and end with the last out in the bottom of the fifth inning.

A's COMMUNITY FUND 50/50 RAFFLE: At select home games throughout the 2017 season, fans can participate in the A's Community Fund 50/50 Raffle, presented by Better Health East Bay, a Sutter Health Foundation. One lucky fan has the opportunity to win half of the gross proceeds raised at each game, with the remaining proceeds benefitting the A's Community Fund's mission to support charitable organizations that aim to improve the quality of life for people throughout the Bay Area.
