Major League Baseball and W.B. Mason today announced a new multi-year partnership that makes the world's second largest private office supplier the presenting sponsor of Replay Review for the 2017 Postseason. W.B. Mason will now be the Official Office Products Supplier of Major League Baseball. This agreement marks the fourth new MLB partnership formed since September 18.
The in-stadium integration that launches the partnership will see replay review technicians wearing branded shirts and caps that feature the distinctive W.B. Mason logo during every 2017 Postseason game. This marketing platform extends to stadium signage, digital advertising and social media platforms including the official @MLBReplays account on Twitter.
This is the first national sports partnership for the Brockton, MA-based firm that was established in 1898. In the last 15 years, the company has grown its business driven by local partnerships with eight MLB Clubs. After sponsoring the Boston Red Sox in 2003, W.B. Mason joined the Philadelphia Phillies corporate partner roster in 2004 followed by the New York Yankees in 2005. Other MLB Club partnerships include Postseason contenders in the Cleveland Indians and Washington Nationals as well as the New York Mets, Pittsburgh Pirates and Tampa Bay Rays.
"Our MLB team partnerships have been a major contributing factor to our growth over the past decade. Who else but MLB for our first national sports deal?" said Leo J. Meehan III, President & CEO of W.B. Mason. "Baseball's daily presence and broad reach is a perfect fit for us as we take this significant step in elevating our brand awareness to a national level."
"W.B. Mason signs are a distinctive presence at MLB ballparks in the eastern part of the country and this partnership aims to expand that recognition throughout the rest of the country," said Noah Garden, MLB Executive Vice President, Business. "Being a part of Postseason Replay Reviews presents W.B. Mason with a great opportunity for visibility at a time of heightened drama and focus for fans."
