Miami Marlins outfielder and two-time All-Star Marcell Ozuna will serve as an MLB International Ambassador at "MLB Baseball Park in Taiwan," the interactive space encouraging Taiwanese youth to play baseball, on Saturday, October 7th and Sunday, October 8th. The two-day event will feature unique baseball and non-baseball experiences for youth in Taipei City, including baseball clinics hosted by Ozuna. Other elements include, "Pitch, Hit, Run & Catch," a mini-baseball diamond, charity events, giveaways and more. In addition to hosting clinics, Ozuna will engage with charity groups and make several media appearances.
"It's an honor to represent Major League Baseball and help spread this great game around the world. Having the opportunity to visit Taiwan and influence thousands of kids is beyond anything I could have imagined," said Ozuna. "I'm looking forward to sharing some of the knowledge that I've collected over the years, but I'm sure I'll also learn from them.
Ozuna becomes the fourth player to visit "MLB Baseball Park in Taiwan" since its inception in 2015. Previous MLB players include Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer (2015), former MLB outfielder Steve Finley (2015) and Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier (2016).
