Astros offseason call-in radio show broadcast weekly from Buffalo Wild Wings in Midtown

HOUSTON, TX — Houston Astros pitcher Bud Norris will be this week’s guest on the club’s popular Astroline call-in radio show on Wednesday, December 7, at 7:00 p.m. Hosted by Hall of Fame Broadcaster Milo Hamilton, Astroline is broadcast live from Buffalo Wild Wings at 510 Gray Street.

The show is open to the public and airs on the club’s flagship station, KTRH 740 AM. Listeners can call into the show with questions at 713-212-5874. Astroline is also streamed live at www.astros.com. Archived broadcasts from this year’s shows will also be available on the team’s website.

Norris, 26, completed his second full season in the Majors with a 6-11 record and a 3.77 ERA (78ER/186IP) in 31 starts in 2011. He led the club with 176 strikeouts in his career-high 186 innings pitched, while holding right-handed batters to a .220 (76x346) average, which ranked 10th among National League pitchers in 2011. Norris, originally a sixth round pick of the 2006 June draft, owns a career 21-24 record with a 4.33 ERA (190ER/395.1IP) and 388 strikeouts in 69 Major League outings (68 starts), spanning three seasons (2009-2011).

Hamilton began his Hall of Fame radio career as a disc jockey on the Armed Forces Radio during Thanksgiving week in 1945. The 2012 season will be his 28th season with the Astros and his 59th year broadcasting Major League Baseball.

Wednesday’s Astroline is the third of 18 scheduled shows during its five-month run leading into the 2012 baseball season, and the program is broadcast each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The program will move to Florida in March when the Astros report to Spring Training in Kissimmee, FL.

Astroline, presented by Budweiser, features interviews, news, and information on the Houston Astros. The show features a different guest each week, ranging from current and former Astros players to front office personnel.
