Sold Out: Tickets for the First-Ever Concert at Target Field

Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw to Perform Target Field's First-Ever Concert on Sunday, July 8

MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Twins today announced that tickets for the first-ever concert at Target Field are now sold out. Due to the incredibly high demand for Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw's 'Brothers of the Sun' tour, 39,000-plus tickets have been sold.  In total, tens of thousands of tickets were sold in approximately four hours on Saturday despite a ticket system technical problem which impeded the ticket purchases for some fans.

"Along with county music fans across Twins Territory, the Twins organization is looking forward to hosting the Kenny Chesney-Tim McGraw show at Target Field," said Twins President Dave St. Peter. "While we are thrilled the July 8 show is sold out, we acknowledge and apologize for the challenges some fans experienced in their attempts to purchase tickets. The Twins organization is working closely with our exclusive ticketing partner – Tickets.com – to investigate today's technical problem with the singular focus of enhancing the customer experience."

"During this morning's public on sale for the July 8th Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw concert at Target Field, Tickets.com experienced an issue that caused tickets to be temporarily unavailable," said Tickets.com President and CEO John Walker. "The issue has been resolved and thousands of tickets for this show and other events have been sold throughout the course of the day. Tickets.com apologizes to the Minnesota Twins and to fans who were inconvenienced by this temporary interruption."

Fans unable to secure tickets are asked to check back at www.twinsbaseball.com/concerts as a limited number of seats may be released by the promoter for public sale in the coming months.

Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw will bring their 'Brothers of the Sun' Tour to Target Field on Sunday, July 8. This first-ever concert at Target Field is a part of their 18-date stadium tour across the country.

'Brothers of the Sun' will be the first time in 10 years that Chesney and McGraw have hit the road together. The reunion will kick off June 2 in Tampa, FL and will feature stadium shows on weekend dates at venues across the country, including Target Field on July 8. 'Brothers of the Sun' will also feature special guests Grace Potter & the Nocturnal as well as Jake Owen.

‘Brothers of the Sun' is a follow up to Chesney's massively successful 'Goin' Coastal' Tour, which blew away more than 1.3 million fans, making it the year's biggest country tour. A four-time CMA Entertainer of the Year winner, Chesney will be honored at CMT's Artists of the Year event on December 13. "Reality," Chesney's fifth single from 2010's ‘Hemingway's Whiskey,' was just shipped to radio.

McGraw is a three-time GRAMMY winner who has had a #1 single in each of the last three decades – 32 in total – including the title track of his most recent album, 'Southern Voice.' His 2010 tour in support of that album was the year's biggest country tour. "Felt Good On My Lips," from his double-CD ‘Number One Hits,' spent three weeks at #1 earlier this year. McGraw is also an accomplished actor, having starred in films such as the Oscar-nominated blockbuster 'The Blind Side' and the critically acclaimed 'Friday Night Lights.'
