Josh Paul named bench coach

The Angels today announced Josh Paul has been named as the Club's bench coach. The announcement was made by Angels General Manager Billy Eppler.

ANAHEIM, CA - The Angels today announced Josh Paul has been named as the Club's bench coach. The announcement was made by Angels General Manager Billy Eppler.
Paul, 42, returns to the Angel organization where he caught for the Halos for two campaigns (2004-05). 2017 marked his third season as the New York Yankees' Catching Coordinator. Prior to that role, Paul served in the organization as a professional scout (2011-14) and minor league manager (2009-10) with Staten Island (Single-A).
A native of Evanston, IL, Paul's playing career spanned nine seasons with the White Sox (1999-2003), Cubs (2003), Angels and Rays (2006-07). In 321 career games, he batted .244 with 92 runs, 35 doubles, 10 home runs and 73 RBI. He was originally drafted by the White Sox out of Vanderbilt University in 1996.
Paul and his wife Heather have two children and reside in Wesley Chapel, FL.  
After serving as bench coach for the last four seasons, Dino Ebel will return to the role of Third Base Coach, which he previously held from 2006-13.
