Ordinary people doing extraordinary things in their communities are getting some much-deserved recognition.
In honor of #GivingTuesday, Phillies Charities, Inc. is saluting dozens of local charities and organizations who are making an impact in the Phillies' major league and minor league communities. All of these community heroes (listed below) will be honored for their charitable efforts on Monday, December 18, at the Phillies Charities, Inc. Holiday Giving Party at Citizens Bank Park. This special event will also recognize those who were selected to receive a 2017 Phillies Charities, Inc. grant, distributed so that their community efforts could continue.

"Through the support of our fans, Phillies Charities is able to support the efforts of these charitable organizations providing vital services throughout the region."
In the past year, more than $1.2 million was awarded by Phillies Charities, Inc. to charitable organizations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and in areas near the Phillies minor league affiliates. Phillies Charities, Inc. serves as the fundraising arm of the Phillies organization and awards grants to a variety of charitable organizations each year.
