D-backs set to begin second Spring Training at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on Feb. 20
Team Announces Reporting Dates And 20 Non-Roster Invitees
PHOENIX – The Arizona Diamondbacks announced reporting dates for their second Spring Training at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick. Pitchers and catchers will report on Feb. 20 with their first workout on Feb. 21. Position players will report on Feb. 25 with the first full-squad workout on Feb. 26.
Workouts are open to the public, and fans may park in the Desert Lot on the north side of the complex, which is best accessed via 90th Street off of Via de Ventura.
The club has 20 non-roster invitees for camp along with the players on the 40-man roster. The breakdown of non-roster invitees includes nine pitchers, three catchers, five infielders and three outfielders:
Pitchers (9):
Right-handed pitchers (6): Charles Brewer, Mike DeMark, Chris Jakubauskas, Jensen Lewis, Evan Marshall, Kevin Munson
Left-handed pitchers (3): Patrick Corbin, Jason Lane, Tyler Skaggs
Catchers (3): Ryan Budde, Ed Easley, Rossmel Perez.
Infielders (5): Matt Davidson, Chris Owings, Cody Ransom, Rusty Ryal, Ryan Wheeler.
Outfielders (3): Adam Eaton, Marc Krauss, A.J. Pollock
The D-backs will open the Cactus League exhibition season on March 3 with a pair of split-squad contests versus the Colorado Rockies at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick and against the San Francisco Giants at Scottsdale Stadium.
