Blue Jays Winter Tour leaving a legacy in Montreal

The Toronto Blue Jays Winter Tour presented by New Era and Sportsnet may just be visiting Montreal but the impact could last a lifetime.  Today at The Montreal Children's Hospital the Toronto Blue Jays, through the Jays Care Foundation, made a $10,000 donation to The Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation for the purchase of a highly needed neurophysiological monitor.

The Blue Jays staff and players had the honour of meeting the children at the hospital today, on hand were Sr. Vice President Baseball Operations and General Manager, Alex Anthopoulos, Manager John Farrell along with players J.P. Arencibia, Brett Cecil, Casey Janssen, Brett Lawrie, Ricky Romero and Eric Thames.

The neurophysiological monitor is used to monitor brainwave activity, primarily in children with seizure disorders.  This portable unit will allow real time interpretation of the physiological signals and is a high priority for the Pediatric Medical Imaging Department.
