Indians Avoid Arbitration with INF Jack Hannahan

CLEVELAND, OH  –  The Cleveland Indians today announced the club has signed INF JACK HANNAHAN for the 2012 season, avoiding arbitration.

Hannahan, 31, hit .250 (80-320) in 2011 with 16 doubles, 8 homers and 40 RBI in 110 games and led American League third basemen with a .983 fielding pct. (296TC, 5E) as he did not make an error in the second half.  Offensively in the second half the St. Paul, MN native hit .322 (29-90) with 4 2B, 3HR & 17 RBI in 36 games (.871OPS).
