Two Minor League Players Suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. 

Free agent Minor League right-handed pitcher Chaz Roe has received a 50-game suspension after testing positive for an amphetamine.  The suspension of Roe is effective immediately upon his signing with a Major League organization.

Free agent Minor League outfielder Smaily Borges has received a 50-game suspension after refusing to take a drug test.  The suspension of Borges is effective immediately upon his signing with a Major League organization.
