2012 Blue Jays Promotions Schedule and launch of Single Game Tickets

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have released the 2012 Promotions Schedule featuring more promotional dates and an increase in giveaway items over last season.

The Blue Jays are currently offering Season Tickets, Flex Packs and Group Tickets.  Single Game Tickets for the Blue Jays 2012 home schedule will go on-sale starting Friday February 17th at 10:00am.  Tickets are available at 1-888-OK-GO-JAY, 416-341-1234 or www.bluejays.com.

Building on the success of many of last year's promotions and listening to the fans, the number of giveaway items on most promotional dates this season will double to 20,000 items per game.  New for 2012 is a unique set of three Collectible Bobbleheads featuring one player at each selected Sunday game. Collect all three and they fit together to form the new Toronto Blue Jays logo on the back.  Featured players are Brandon Morrow on May 20th, Yunel Escobar on June 3rd and Ricky Romero on August 19th.

The promotional schedule kicks off with the Honda Home Opener on Monday, April 9th when the Blue Jays take on the Boston Red Sox at 7:07pm. All fans will receive a 2012 Blue Jays Magnet Schedule. Magnet schedules will also be distributed to 10,000 fans at each of the next two games, Tuesday April 10th and Wednesday April 11th.

As proud supporters of Amateur Baseball across Canada, the Blue Jays will host the first ever Baseball Day in Canada on Sunday August 12th to help celebrate the game of baseball in Canada.  The first 20,000 fans to enter will each receive a new logo Blue Jays Baseball Cap.

On Canada Day, Sunday July 1st, the Blue Jays will celebrate this great country and honour the service of the brave men and women of the Canadian Forces. This will be one of the biggest celebrations of the season beginning with an entertaining pregame Canada Day street festival outside Rogers Centre leading up to game time at 3:07pm.

In addition, the Blue Jays and the Ontario Fire Chiefs are again partnering to promote fire safety.  This kicks off with the Swing into Summer Safety event on Wednesday June 13th with 25,000 fans each receiving a 2012 Blue Jays Baseball card set.

On Father's Day, Sunday June 17th, the first 20,000 fans will receive a new logo replica Blue Jays Batting Helmet.

On Sunday September 30th, the first 20,000 fans will receive a new logo Blue Jays T-Shirt sponsored by Home Hardware as part of Home Hardware Fan Appreciation Day.

Jr. Jays Saturdays return on every Saturday home game in 2012 starting Saturday April 14th. Kids can participate in indoor activities and post-game running of the bases all season long.  Pre-game outdoor activities start on Saturday June 2nd and continue during the summer months. On the final Saturday of the season, September 29th, the first 10,000 kids (14 and under) receive a Jr. Jays T-Shirt as part of Jr. Jays Fan Appreciation Day. Last season, families enjoyed great value with kids priced tickets for ages 14 and under. The Blue Jays are proud to continue this promotion for 2012.

This summer there is even more reason for fans to come to games early as the Blue Jays host four Summer Friday Fan Festivals (July 13th & 27th and August 17th & 31st).  Fans are encouraged to join the Blue Jays and bring their friends to the games to enjoy pre-game food, refreshments and entertainment outside Rogers Centre. More details of this exciting new program will be announced soon.

Every Tuesday is Tweeting Tuesday when fans get together to enjoy a Blue Jays game and connect with @bluejays and fellow fans at Rogers Centre.

For an increased number of games the Blue Jays will offer the Lesters Hot Dog Grand Slam Combo which combines your ticket, food, and beverage in one price.  This will be offered across eight games this season.

Complete dates and details for each of these promotions are available at www.bluejays.com.
