Marlins acquire four prospects from Brewers in exchange for Christian Yelich

The Marlins today announced that the team has acquired outfielder Lewis Brinson, infielder Isan Diaz, outfielder Monte Harrison, and right-handed pitcher Jordan Yamamoto from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for outfielder Christian Yelich. The announcement was made by Marlins President of Baseball Operations Michael Hill.

MIAMI - The Marlins today announced that the team has acquired outfielder Lewis Brinson, infielder Isan Diaz, outfielder Monte Harrison, and right-handed pitcher Jordan Yamamoto from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for outfielder Christian Yelich. The announcement was made by Marlins President of Baseball Operations Michael Hill.
Brinson was the consensus top prospect in Milwaukee's system by both MiLB.com and Baseball America; he is ranked No. 13 in all of baseball by MiLB.com, and No. 18 by Baseball America. Diaz was the No. 6 prospect in the Brewers' system and is ranked No. 86 overall by MiLB.com, No. 4 among second basemen. Harrison was Milwaukee's No. 14 overall prospect by MiLB.com.
Brinson, 23, is a native of Ft. Lauderdale and attended Coral Springs HS. In 545 career Minor League games, he has batted .287 with 133 doubles, 29 triples, 89 home runs, 322 RBI, 96 steals, a .353 OBP, and a .502 SLG. He made his Major League debut on June 11 last year and appeared in 21 games across two stints with the Brewers. Brinson was taken 29th overall by Texas in the 2012 First-Year Player Draft, and was acquired by Milwaukee at the 2016 trade deadline. He has been added to Miami's 40-man roster.
Diaz, 21, was the Brewers' Minor League Player of the Year in 2016 and the MVP of the Pioneer League in 2015. He has posted a .261 average, 86 doubles, 49 homers, and 201 RBI in 362 career Minor League games. Diaz is a native of Bayamon, Puerto Rico and attended Springfield Central HS in Massachusetts. He was drafted by Arizona in Competitive Balance Round B (No. 70 overall) in the 2014 Draft and acquired by Milwaukee in a trade prior to the 2016 season.
Harrison, 22, split 2017 between Low-A Wisconsin and High-A Carolina, batting a combined .272 with 28 doubles, 21 home runs, 67 RBI, and 28 steals in 122 games. He had a .265 average with 11 homers, 32 RBI, and 11 steals for Wisconsin, earning Midwest League All-Star honors. The native of Lee's Summit, Missouri, was a second-round pick (No. 50 overall) by the Brewers in the 2014 Draft.
Yamamoto, 21, made 22 appearances (18 starts) at Carolina last year, compiling a 9-4 record with two complete games, one shutout, one save and a 2.51 ERA (111.0 ip/31 er). His ERA ranked 15th among all full season Single-A pitchers, while his nine wins tied for fourth among Brewers' farmhands. A native of Pearl City, Hawaii, he has posted a 17-19 record and 4.19 ERA (329.0/153) in 73 career appearances (50 starts). He was selected by Milwaukee in the 12th round of the 2014 Draft.
