The Texas Rangers announced today that the club has acquired International slot compensation from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for minor league right-handed pitcher Domingo Pena.
The 19-year-old Pena was originally signed by Texas as a non-drafted free agent in July 2014. He was 1-0 (1 R-0ER in 14.0 IP) in 4 games/3 starts with the Rangers' Dominican Summer League 1 team and 0-2, 5.06 in 6 games/2 starts with the Arizona Rangers in 2017.
