Phillies Hire Sean Walker As Vice President, Chief Technology Officer

The Phillies have hired Sean Walker to serve as the club's vice president and chief technology officer. In this newly created role, Walker will oversee the club's Information Technology Department to enhance overall business operations.

The Phillies have hired Sean Walker to serve as the club's vice president and chief technology officer. In this newly created role, Walker will oversee the club's Information Technology Department to enhance overall business operations.
Walker, 44, brings 19 years of technology and information systems experience in highly visible sports environments where he was responsible for strategic IT planning and project execution. In his various roles of increasing responsibility, Walker helped to define strategies to ensure high performance and cost-effective technology solutions.
Most recently, Walker served as vice president of innovation and technology services for the Tampa Bay Lightning since 2016. Prior to his time with Tampa Bay, Walker served as associate vice president - team, arena and event technology for the National Basketball Association (NBA). At the NBA, he worked with senior management to develop the technology strategy for use around the league. He also provided support for the league's premier events such the NBA All-Star Game, NBA Finals and the NBA Draft. Walker began his career with the Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA). During his 13-year career with the PGA as director of enterprise applications, Walker developed and led technology initiatives for the world's largest working sports organization, including the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup.

Walker is a graduate of the University of Florida (Gainesville), where he received both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees.
Sean and his wife Becca have three children - Ellie (24), Sean (14) and Lillian (9). They will reside in Haddonfield, N.J.
