A's Option IF Brandon Hicks to Sacramento

OAKLAND, Calif. – The Oakland A’s optioned infielder Brandon Hicks to Triple-A Sacramento, the club announced today.  Hicks was claimed off waivers from Atlanta on Tuesday.

The A’s now have 45 active players in camp.  That includes 37 players on the 40-man roster and eight non-roster invitees.  The breakdown includes 21 pitchers, five catchers, nine infielders and 10 outfielders.  The A’s have 40 players on the 40-man roster plus Brett Anderson and Scott Sizemore, who are on the 60-day disabled list.
