Padres to Host Mets for Third Homestand of the 2018 Season

The Padres return home from their second road trip of the season, an eight-day six-game trip, for their third homestand of 2018, featuring games against the New York Mets.

San Diego Padres vs. New York Mets - Friday, April 27 @ 7:10 p.m.
The Padres return home from their second road trip of the season, an eight-day six-game trip, for their third homestand of 2018, featuring games against the New York Mets. Action begins tomorrow with a 7:10 p.m. start.
The popular Party in the Park series returns on Friday with CocktailFest presented by Southwest Airlines. Elements include:
-The party begins at 4:30 p.m. with live entertainment and Cutwater Spirit canned cocktails available for $5 and specialty cocktails available for $10 exclusively with Friar Funds.
The Padres and San Diego Pride have once again teamed up for this year's OUT at the Park on Friday. The night includes the following elements:
-A theme game ticket package available for purchase that includes a seat in the designated OUT at the Park section, a donation to San Diego Pride and access to the pregame LGBTQ Friends and Family VIP space in Park at the Park in conjunction with CocktailFest presented by Southwest Airlines.
-San Diego Gay Men's Chorus, San Diego Women's Chorus, San Diego Pride and Padres staff will perform the National Anthem together on the field.
-Former Padre Billy Bean, who now serves as Major League Baseball's vice president for social responsibility and inclusion, will join the group on the field during the Anthem, and will be in attendance for OUT at the Park events.
-Officer Steven Gonzalez of the San Diego Police Officers Association will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Padres infielder Eric Hosmer will be presented with his fourth career Gold Glove Award during Friday's pregame ceremony.
San Diego Padres vs. New York Mets - Saturday, April 28 @ 5:40 p.m.
As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance on Saturday will receive a Padres Hoodie presented by Toyota. Four sizes will be available to fans (Youth Large, Adult Medium, XL and 2XL). Exchange locations will be available in Park at the Park, Park Blvd. Gate and Home Plate Gate for fans wishing to exchange sizes. Sizes are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability.
Saturday is also Noche de Béisbol. As part of the Hispanic Heritage celebration, three Liga Municipal de Tijuana youth teams will be recognized during the pregame ceremony for participating in international tournaments taking place in California, Louisiana and Pennsylvania.
Prior to Saturday's game, cancer survivors will be recognized down the first baseline as part of the Padres Pedal the Cause pregame ceremony. During the ceremony, the Padres and Padres Pedal the Cause representatives will display a $2.4 million check, the amount of funds raised for local cancer research during the 2017 cycling event.
Former Padres pitcher Dan Boone will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch prior to Saturday's game.
Saturday is also Faith and Family Night at the ballpark. Fans who purchase a Faith & Family Night ticket package will have access to a postgame Q&A session with Padres players as they share their testimonies and be able to enjoy a postgame concert featuring Jordan Feliz. Sunday will also serve as a Military Salute: Welcome Home USS San Diego presented by USAA. Elements of the day include:
-Over 100 Sailors from the USS San Diego will line the baselines during the pregame ceremony.
-Seaman Nathaniel Frith will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Corporal Veronica Carter of the United States Marine Corps will perform Sunday's National Anthem and God Bless America during the 7th-inning break.
-Captain Peter Collins, CO of the USS San Diego, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
-Nine service men and women from the USS San Diego will take the field to greet Padres starters as part of the "Military Take the Field."
The first Friar Family Day presented by Denny's of the 2018 season takes place Sunday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer for kids (14 and younger) and adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket.
-Access to inflatables and face painters in Park at the Park prior to Sunday's game.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under with the Friar Family Day ticket are invited to run the bases on the field. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street.
-Fans can purchase tickets for Friar Family Day at the Petco Park box office or online here.
KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real Foods, Compadres Kids Sunday Signings and Postgame Kids Run the Bases activities include:
-KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real features bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid-friendly activities in Park at the Park beginning at 10:30 a.m.
-From 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., two Padres players will sign autographs at the Park at the Park for Compadres Kids Sunday Signings. A Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online here or in-person on the day of the event.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under are invited to run the bases on the field. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street. Compadres Kids members will receive front-of-the-line privileges by lining up at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza.
As part of Little League Day on Sunday, thousands of local little leaguers will participate in a pregame parade around the warning track, and a select few will take part in pregame activities on the field.
