The Texas Rangers announced this afternoon that the club has activated second baseman Rougned Odor from the 10-day disabled list. To make room on the active roster for Odor, the team has designated infielder/outfielder Renato Núñez for assignment.

Odor was on the 10-day disabled list from April 10-May 10 with a left hamstring strain suffered in the first inning of his last game with Texas on April 9 against the Los Angeles Angels. He played 5 games with Double-A Frisco (2) and Triple-A Round Rock (3) on injury rehabilitation assignment, going 3-for-17 with a double and 2 RBI. He went 1-for-5 with an RBI as the designated hitter for Round Rock last night against New Orleans. Odor has batted .206 (7-34) with no home runs and 4 RBI in 11 games/starts for the Rangers this season, going 6-for-18 in his last 6 games with Texas.

Núñez batted .167 (6-36) with one home run and 2 RBI in 13 games/11 starts for Texas after he was received on a waiver claim from the Oakland Athletics on April 15. The Rangers have 7 days to trade, release, or outright Núñez to the minor leagues.

With today's moves, the Rangers have 38 players on the club's major league roster, along with 6 players on the 60-day disabled list.
