D-backs recall Jimmie Sherfy from Triple-A Reno

The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled RHP Jimmie Sherfy from Triple-A Reno. Following Saturday's game, the D-backs optioned RHP Troy Scribner to Reno.
Sherfy, 26, made 11 relief appearances for the Aces, going 7-for-7 in save opportunities with a 2.25 ERA (3 ER in 12.0 IP), a .163 opponent average (7-for-43) and 18 strikeouts. He held righties to a .083 average (2-for-24) and did not allow a run over his final 8 outings (9.0 IP) with 16 strikeouts.
Last season, his first in the Majors, he made 11 scoreless relief appearances (10.2 IP), going 2-0 with 1 save, a .143 opponent average (5-for-35) and 9 strikeouts. His 11-game scoreless streak is the seventh-longest in team history to start a D-backs career, and the longest since Matt Reynolds tied the team record with 19 games in 2013. Sherfy held lefties to a .091 average (1-for-11) with 4 strikeouts, while righties hit .167 (4-for-24) with 5 strikeouts. He also made the Postseason roster and appeared in 2 NLDS games vs. Los Angeles Dodgers.
Scribner, 26, made his D-backs debut as the starter yesterday vs. Nationals (L, 2 ER in 3.2 IP). He was recalled from Reno prior to the game.
