Opening Day at Chase Field sold out

Tickets still available for Opening Weekend on Saturday and Sunday

PHOENIX - The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today that Opening Day at Chase Field, to be held this Friday, is completely sold out. Tickets remain for Opening Weekend on Saturday, April 7 at 1:05 p.m. and Sunday, April 8 at 1:10 p.m. vs. the San Francisco Giants.

"This is the earliest we've sold out Opening Day in several years and we're expecting a great crowd throughout Opening Weekend," said D-backs' President & CEO Derrick Hall. "There is so much excitement right now for the D-backs that we're really encouraging our fans to get their tickets early for the best seats."

Fans attending the sold-out Opening Day game against the Giants will receive a D-backs t-shirt, courtesy of Gila River Casinos while the first 20,000 fans at the Saturday, April 7 1:05 p.m. game will receive a Magnet Schedule, courtesy of Pepsi. The first 10,000 fans at that same Saturday game will receive a Kirk Gibson Fan, courtesy of CenturyLink.

The Opening Day sellout comes on the heels of the D-backs' announcement last week that their Spring Training home, Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, broke its own year-old record for total attendance for a two-team complex. The complex's joint attendance between the D-backs and Rockies broke last year's mark of 359,308. That number had shattered the previous record for attendance at a two-team complex, surpassing the 2008 mark set in Peoria (230,146). The D-backs' average attendance is the highest in the Major Leagues.

To purchase tickets to Opening Weekend on Saturday or Sunday, or for any other home games this season, fans can visit the Chase Field Ticket Window, visit dbacks.com, losdbacks.com or call (620) 514-8400.
